The Sidtenga Appeal’s first undertaking was to drill a well, which was completed in 2000 at a cost of £4,000.

In 2004 it completed the construction of a Health Centre, comprising a treatment centre, a maternity unit and a pharmacy, at a cost of £14,000.

The construction of Community Centre has been completed at a cost of £9,500. and is fully funded.

The Appeal has based its efforts in assisting Sidtenga in close co-operation with the villagers themselves. There are committees elected by the village to maintain the work supplied. The nature of the work has thus far been mainly construction but the Health Centre has also been assisted in purchasing additional drugs and equipment.
