The Appeal is run by Tim Horley in UK and managed by Emmanuel Nikiema in Burkina Faso.

Both provide their services entirely free of charge.

It owns no property or equipment and pays no expenses to its two Officers.

Its income is derived from donations including activities such as coffee mornings and clay pigeon shoots. Since 2000 it has held a successful golf day in Wales, which this year raised £2,500.

It has been supported by numerous businesses, associations and individuals, mostly local to Tim Horley’s home area, notably Pembertons Bookshop in Hay-on-Wye, Crickhowell Primary School, Davies Bookmakers of Merthyr Tydfil, Friends of the Hay Festival and Crickhowell Rotary Club.

The Appeal intends to raise funds on a phased basis over the next few years to fulfill its programme of projects.  It will be widening its scope so as to include more donors and to this end is applying to the Inland Revenue for the appropriate tax reliefs

We hope to raise a total of £36,500 over 5 years by investing in the works outlined in "Future Projects".  We intend to embark upon the projects in the order shown, although it may be necessary to change this in the light of changed circumstances.
